Farshid Fathi Wrote a Letter from Evin Prison

"Often I have been insulted, humiliated and accused, but I have never doubted my identity in Christ. Some have deserted me, some have fled from me, of course in no way do I pass judgment on them. ..."

Mohabat News – Farshid Fathi is a Christian convert who has been sentenced to six years in prison by the Revolutionary Court in Iran. The court announced his accusations as, "action against the regime's security, being in contact with foreign organizations and religious propaganda". Mr. Fathi has spent several months in solitary confinement and has never received a leave permission during his imprisonment. He was born in 1979, is married, and is father of two children. He was arrested by security authorities in Tehran on December 26, 2010 as part of a crackdown before New Year celebrations. Currently, he is serving his six year sentence and his wife and two children were offered refuge by Canada in February 2013, after they fled to Turkey.

Farshid had written a letter in November 2012, which was published just recently. The letter is addressed to Farshid's father and in it he pours out his heart to his father. The letter is as follows:

Dear Dad,

Please accept my warmest greetings from the heart of prison in the name of Jesus. It has been a long time since I have been able to hear you. But I sense the fragrance of your prayers as a cool breeze on my heart and it strengthens me from afar. I have gone through difficult days, but more than ever before I have seen myself in the bosom of the Lord, which is full of love. I have had a deep experience of loneliness, but I have never felt alone.

Often I have been sorrowful because of certain things, but I have never been a slave of sadness. Often I have been insulted, humiliated and accused, but I have never doubted my identity in Christ. Some have deserted me, some have fled from me, of course in no way do I pass judgment on them. My Lord has never left me.

I spent 361 days in a locked cell, and I did not see the sunlight for days, but the mercies of the Lord were made new every morning. I have many things to say, but I like to say how much I love you. I miss you, our other brother and my dear aunty. I miss the little ones and their parents. Please give my greetings to my dear uncle. I know that with power and love he is praying for me and my family.

Probably I cannot be with you for a few years. However your word and exhortations are in the ear of my soul. I hope that at the end I will be able to see you. But if the Father calls me to the eternal abode, please protect and support my family more than before, especially my children who are dearest of my heart.

The narrow way that I am passing through I see as a cup that my Beloved has given me, and I will drink it to the end, whatever that end might be. What really matters is that I am my Beloved's and my Beloved is mine. This possibly is the sweetest truth of my life that I am His and He is mine.

Two of the brothers send you greetings from here. Also two sisters who are separated from us by a few high walls. I too here am continuously praying for you and your loving family. Please convey my greetings to all dear brothers and sisters who have been praying for me and my family and tell them: In our land the fig tree does not blossom, the produce of olive has failed. The flock is cut off from the fold. Yet we rejoice in the Lord and take joy in the God of our salvation. Because neither the walls nor the barbed wires, nor the prison, nor suffering, nor loneliness, nor enemies, nor pain, nor even death separates us from the Lord and each other.

Iranian Christians Face Captivity, Persecution

The story of imprisoned American Pastor Saeed Abedini is focusing attention on the treatment of Christians in Iran. This week in Washington, DC, two Iranian Christian women told their own story of persecution at the hands of the Iranian authorities.

Mohabat News -- According to CBN news, Marziyeh Amirizadeh and Maryam Rostampour are co-authors of a new book called "Captive in Iran." They addressed a Hudson Institute panel on the plight of Christians under the Iranian regime.

Both of the women were raised in Iran as Muslims but had questions about their faith. Amirizadeh learned the Koran in Arabic, but she wondered why God couldn't speak to her in her own Persian language. She experienced a number of dreams and visions of Jesus.

"I met Jesus in front of myself, and He was standing next to a large throne that was covered with shining gold," Amirizadeh said.

Amirizadeh and Rostampour both made the decision to become Christians and met while studying theology in Turkey. Later, they felt led to go back to their home country.

"God gave us this vision to distribute the Bible among the Iranian people," Amirizadeh explained. The two women started north of Tehran, the capital, and moved to the southern part of the country, carrying some 20,000 Bibles in their backpacks at night and putting them in mailboxes.

"We also had two house churches, one of them was for prostitutes and the other one for young people in our own apartment," said Amirizadeh.

In March, 2009, Amirizadeh and Rostampour were arrested for their house church activities. When Iranian authorities brought them in, they were interrogated for an entire day.

Rostampour described how they were put in a prison basement.

"There was a dirty and dark cell in the basement and they threatened us [with] physical torture. They said that, 'You need to give us all the information that we need, otherwise we will beat you until your womb is blood.'"

The women say the guards didn't physically torture them, but they were sent to Tehran's infamous Evin prison, where American Pastor Sayeed Abedini has been held and tortured.

Rostampour claims the two interrogators tried to convince them to deny their faith and threatened them with execution. In fact, they say officials at 10 different trials confronted them with the possibility of hanging.

After spending most of a year in prison, the two women were eventually released after Christians around the world publicized their case.

"We believe that the first reason we are here today and we are free is God's grace and God's will," said Rostampour. "And the second reason is support of all Christians from all around the world."

Rostampour and Amirizadeh are urging believers to write letters to Iranians imprisoned for their faith.

Meanwhile, The American Center for Law and Justice reports that thousands of Christians have flooded Evin Prison with letters of concern for Pastor Abedini. He has suffered dangerous internal bleeding from the torture and abuse at the hands of the Iranian regime. Despite pleas from the West, his request for medical treatment has so far been denied.

Saeed Abedini Given Ultimatum: 'Deny Christ or Face Longer Prison Time

Iranian authorities have posed U.S. Pastor Saeed Abedini with an ultimatum to deny Christ, or spend more time in prison. "Deny your faith in Jesus Christ and return to Islam or else you will not be released from prison.

Mohabat News-- We will make sure you are kept here even after your 8 year sentence is finished," the authorities said, according to a letter by Abedini that was recently obtained by the American Center for Law and Justice.

The pastor, who was sentenced to eight years in January in what the law group says was a "sham trial" that targeted him for his Christian faith, had earlier shared of some of the abuse he faced in prison in a letter to his wife, Naghmeh Abedini, and their two children. He has stated that he will not abandon Christ in the face of such persecution. But the newly released letter reveals the specific threats the authorities have made against him in Evin Prison in Tehran.

"My response to them is Romans 8:35-39. The reality of Christian living is that difficulties or problems do arise in our lives. Persecution and difficulties are not new occurrences, but are seen often in the Christian life. It is through the suffering and tribulations that we are to enter the Kingdom of God," the U.S. citizen said in his letter.

The ACLJ, which is representing the pastor's family back in the U.S. and has been at the forefront of campaigning for Abedini's release, commended the pastor for his strong faith in the face of mental and physical abuse.

"My hair was shaven, under my eyes were swollen three times what they should have been, my face was swollen, and my beard had grown," Abedini wrote in a letter in March. "The nurse would also come to take care of us and provide us with treatment, but she said in front of others 'in our religion we are not suppose to touch you, you are unclean. Baha'i (religion) and Christians are unclean!' She did not treat me and that night I could not sleep from the intense pain I had."

The U.S. State Department, Secretary of State John Kerry and the European Union have all called for the pastor's release, and over 550,000 people worldwide from over 180 countries have signed a petition lending him support.

"Pastor Saeed is refusing to deny Christ. We must let him know that we will never forget him and will never stop working for his release," the ACLJ has said.

The law group also started a letter-writing campaign for Abedini's birthday on May 7, hoping that all the notes will "flood" Evin Prison. Those who wish to add their letter to the 20,000 already written can do so by going to SaveSaeed.org. / Christianpost

گردهمایی «حمایت از زندانیان مسیحی در ایران » توسط پناهجویان ایرانی+   عکس

نخستین گردهمایی «حمایت از زندانیان مسیحی در ایران» روز شنبه ۶ آپریل ۲۰۱۳ مقابل سفارت ایران در شهر اسلو پایتخت نروژ با حضور پناهجویان مسیحی‌ و ایرانیان مقیم نروژ برگزار شد.

بنا بر گزارشی از پناهجویان ایرانی مسیحی مقیم نروژ؛ « محمد حیدری »، مسئول گردهمایی به « محبت نیوز» می‌گوید: « محور اصلی این برنامه حمایت از آزادی بیان، مقابله با آزار و اذیت مسیحیان و بررسی وضعیت کنونی آنان در ایران، حمایت از مسیحیان دربند و بررسی گزارش احمد شهید گزارشگر ویژه سازمان ملل بود.»

بخشی از این گردهمایی قرائت گزارشی در خصوص آزار و اذیت مسیحیان توسط جمهوری اسلامی بود. در این گزارش ضمن اشاره به قتل چند تن از رهبران کلیساها توسط عوامل امنیتی به بررسی رفتار و خشونت‌های صورت گرفته علیه مسیحیان در سال 2012 (دی ماه 1390 تا دی ماه 1391) پرداخته شد و این موضوع تاکید شد که جمهوری اسلامی با استفاده از تهدید و اعمال فشار طی سالیان متمادی تلاش داشته که مسیحیان قومیتی را منزوی کند و از لحاظ فرهنگی آنها را طوری در فضاهای بسته محدود نماید.

بخش‌هایی از گردهمایی اسلو نیز بی‌ارتباط با مسائل اجتماعی و سیاسی روز نبود.

حیدری در ادامه می افزاید، از دیگر گزارش‌های قرائت شده در این گردهمایی بررسی وﺿﻊ آزادي ﺑﯿﺎن ﺑﻪوﯾﮋه در دوران رﯾﺎﺳﺖﺟﻤﻬﻮري محمود اﺣﻤﺪيﻧﮋاد بود که رو ﺑﻪ وﺧﺎﻣﺖ گذاشت و ﭘﺲ از اﻧﺘﺨﺎﺑﺎت رﯾﺎﺳﺖﺟﻤﻬﻮري سال 1388 به اوج خود رسید و پس از سخنرانی مشهور علی‌خامنه‌ای رهبر جمهوری اسلامی جمع زیادی از منتقدین، روزﻧﺎﻣﻪﻧﮕﺎران، ﻧﻮﯾﺴﻨﺪﮔﺎن و ﻣﺪاﻓﻌﺎن ﺣﻘﻮق ﺑﺸﺮ دستگیر شدند و این دستگیری‌ها شامل مسیحیان نوکیش در سرتاسر ایران نیز شد.

در بیانیه اولین گردهمایی «حمایت از مسیحیان زندانی در ایران» که توسط پناهجویان مسیحی قرائت شد از جمهوری اسلامی خواسته شد مطابق قوانین بین المللی و ایرانی، مسیحیان ایران بویژه مسیحیان فارسی زبان بتوانند بدون تهدیدات و ارعاب بیشتر آزادانه مناسک عبادی و آئینی خود را انجام دهند.

ایرانیان و پناهجویان مسیحی مقیم نروژ همچنین ضمن محکوم کردن دستگیری و بازداشت کشیشان و نوکیشان مسیحی خواستار آزادی آنان از زندان‌ها شدند.

جمعه ی نیک بر تمام برادران و خواهران ایماندارم مبارک باد

 در ابتدا عید پاک را به تمام برادران و خواهران ایماندارم تبریک میگم 

اطلاعات کلی در باره عید پاک 

عید پاک یا عید قیام، یکی از روزهای تعطیل در سال مسیحی است که یکشنبه‌ای در ماه مارس یا آوریل است. مسیحیان بر این باورند که در این روز عیسی مسیح پس از اینکه به صلیب کشیده شده بود دوباره زنده شده و برخاست (رستاخیز). به عید پاک، در انگلیسی Easter (ایستر) گفته می‌شود.

عید پاک در پایان هفتهٔ مقدسی است که عیسی وارد اورشلیم می‌شود و توسط سربازان رومی دستگیر و پس از تحمل مصائب و سختی‌ها بر فراز تپه جلجتا در اورشلیم مصلوب می‌شود. زمان این عید، برخلاف سایر اعیاد و مراسم، ثابت نیست و هر سال میان ۲۲ مارس تا ۲۵ آوریل تغییر می‌کند.

این روز برابر با ۳ فروردین تا ۳۰ فروردین نوروز بزرگ می‌باشد

برای مسیحیان، عید پاک با رستاخیز و قیام مسیح پیوند خورده است.

طبق انجیل "عهد جدید"، عیسی مسیح دو روز پیش از "روز فصح" به صلیب کشیده شد، و روز سوم، در یکشنبه‌ای 

که ماه به حالت قرص تمام بود، از قبر برخاست، ۴۰ روز در زمین زندگی کرد و بعد به آسمان رفت.

شام آخر

شامگاه پنجشنبه عیسی مسیح یاران نزدیک خود (حواریون) را فرا خواند تا با او شام بخورند. در این مهمانی، او به آنها نان و شراب عرضه کرد، سپس برای آنها سخنرانی کرد و خبر داد که به زودی دستگیر خواهد شد.

پس از پایان شام، بر اساس روایات یکی از حواریون، به نام یهودا اسخریوطی، مخفیانه به نزد حاکمان رومی رفت و در ازای پولی ناچیز مخفیگاه مسیح را به آنها لو داد و زمینه دستگیری او را فراهم کرد.

در پایان شب، وقتی حواریون به بستر خواب رفتند، مسیح به تنهایی به بالای کوه زیتون رفت و به مناجات پرداخت و دانست که عقوبتی سخت در انتظار اوست.

سحرگاه جمعه (آدینه نیک) سربازان رومی مسیح را در موضعی به نام "باغ جتسمانی" دستگیر کردند و به مقر فرماندهی بردند.

حاکمان رومی اورشلیم، به تحریک "رؤسای کهنه و مشایخ قوم"، مسیح را پس از شکنجه و آزار فراوان، واداشتند که صلیبی سنگین را بر روی دوش تا بالای تپه جلجتا حمل کند.

"جمعه نیک" روز سوگواری است.

جمعه نیک

جمعهٔ نیک روزی است که مسیحیان به مناسبت گرامیداشت روز مصلوب شدن و مرگ عیسی مسیح آن را گرامی می‌دارند. این یک رویداد مهم در مسیحیت است، که نشان دهنده فداکاری‌ها و از خودگذشتگی‌ها و درد و رنج در زندگی عیسی مسیح است. مصلوب شدن, اوج تعدادی از حوادث در هفته مقدس است، از جمله: خود بازگشت پیروزمندانه عیسی مسیح به بیت المقدس در یکشنبهٔ نخل، شستن پاهای شاگردان توسط مسیح و شام آخر عیسی مسیح در پنجشنبهٔ عذاب و رنج.

روز شنبه پس از جمعه نیک، شنبه مقدس و یکشنبه دو روز پس از جمعه نیک عید پاک است.

ابراز «نگرانی شدید» از وضع جسمی بهنام ایرانی

منصور برجی، سخنگوی «کمیته ماده ۱۸» وابسته به شورای کلیساهای ایرانی همگام، در گفت‌وگویی با رادیوفردا از وضعیت جسمانی بهنام ایرانی، کشیش زندانی، به شدت ابراز نگرانی کرده است.

آقای برجی که مقیم لندن است می‌گوید: «گزارش‌های مختلفی وضعيت جسمانی بهنام را وخيم توصيف می‌کنند و ما نگران حال او هستيم. خون‌ريزی روده و نياز به عمل جراحی از جمله مواردی است که خبر آن تا به امروز به آن اشاره شده است. بعد از گذشت ۱۷ ماه از زندانی شدن بهنام در ندامتگاه مرکزی کرج، هنوز به او مرخصی نداده‌اند و مسئولين زندان بر خلاف تعهدات قانونی خود از رسيدگی پزشکی به بهنام تا اين لحظه امتناع کرده‌اند.»

آقای برجی در مورد دلایل حبس بهنام ایرانی می‌گوید: «بهنام از اواخر فروردين ۸۹ به خاطر ايمان مسيحی خود و فعاليت‌هايش در يک کليسای خانگی دستگير و زندانی شده است. البته اتهاماتی که بر اساس آن حکم حبس وی صادره شده، مطابق معمول سياسی تعريف شده‌اند و مواردی مثل «اقدام عليه امنيت ملی» و يا «تبليغ عليه نظام» را شامل می‌شود.  بهنام پس از دستگيری اوليه خود در سال ۸۵ با ۵ سال حبس تعليقی روبه‌رو شد. اما دستگيری مجدد او در سال ۸۹ و صدور حکم یک سال حبس تعزيری به قطعی شدن حکم ۵ ساله هم انجاميد.»

اخیرا نامه‌ای منتسب به بهنام ایرانی درباره وضعیت بد زندان و آزار مسیحیان در دهه‌های گذشته، برای ارسال به کمیسر عالی حقوق بشر سازمان ملل و دیگر مراجع بین‌المللی در برخی از وب‌سایت‌های مسیحی منتشر شد.

در این نامه آمده است: «در همان دهه ۷۰ بارها پلیس وزارت اطلاعات به خانه‌های ما در شهرهای مختلف هجوم می‌آوردند و در زمانی که رئیس جمهور وقت آقای محمد خاتمی صحبت از گفت‌وگوی تمدن‌ها می‌کرد اعضای کلیسای ما تنها به این دلیل که برای پرستش خدا و مشارکت صرفا روحانی جمع می‌شدند مورد بی‌حرمتی و آزار قرار می‌گرفتند.»

در نامه منتسب به آقای ایرانی همچنین می‌خوانیم: «اینجانب بارها تقاضای مرخصی کرده‌ام، هیچ جوابی به مرخصی بنده داده نشده و نهایتا با تلاشی که مددکاری زندان کرد متوجه شدم که در پرونده من نوشته شده که به دستور مراجع قضایی هیچ گونه اقدام ندارد یعنی من را از حقوق یک زندانی کاملا منع کرده‌اند، چه عفو مشروط، چه تخفیف مجازات چه مرخصی و هیچ کدام از حقوق به من تعلق نمی‌گیرد.»

آقای برجی می‌گوید: «کميته ماده ۱۸ که دفاع از حقوق مسیحیان ایراین را در اروپا پیگیری می‌کند، ضمن اعتراض به حکم حبس ناعادلانه بهنام ايرانی، وضعيت نگران‌کننده او را به نهادهای بين‌المللی و سازمان‌های فعال در زمينه حقوق اقليت‌ها انعکاس داده و اميدواريم مسئولين قضايی ايران هر چه زودتر امکان درمان و رسيدگی‌های پزشکی را برای بهنام فراهم آورند.»

احمد شهيد و هاينر بايله‌فلت، گزارشگران ويژه سازمان ملل، اخیرا از جمهوری اسلامی خواستند که «جو ترس و ارعاب حاکم بر کليساهای مسيحی، به‌ويژه منازل محل عبادت مسيحيان پروتستان را برطرف کند».

از انقلاب تاکنون چند رهبر کلیسا در ایران کشته شده‌اند و صدها مسیحی نیز تحت بازجویی بوده و زندانی شده‌اند. چاپ کتاب مقدس به زبان فارسی ممنوع شده و برخی از کلیساها تعطیل و از مراسم کلیسایی جلوگیری به عمل آمده است.
